Girls Basketball:
What a finish for the Bonita High School girls basketball program.
The Bearcats trailed Glendora by seven points with two minutes to play in Tuesday’s Palomares League road game.
Bonita, though, outscored GHS, 16-2, over the final two minutes of regulation and overtime, and defeated the Tartans, 45-38, and improved to 2-0 in league games.
Amore Mason’s put-back tied the game in regulation and she led BHS with 16 points.
Ten of Mason’s 16 came in the fourth quarter and overtime.
Bryanna Graham chipped in 10 points in the win, including five in overtime.
Ana Eckler finished with eight points, which included a pair of free throws made in OT.
Rylie Anderson led all scorers with 18 for GHS.
Kennedy Hermann added 11 for the Tartans.
Up next: Both programs will be back in action on Friday night.
Bonita will host Colony, & Glendora welcomes Ayala into their gym.
