Damien bounced back from its first loss of 2021-22 with a 61-58 victory over American Fork of Utah.
The Spartans (17-1) finished the Classic at Damien with a 3-1 mark.
Spivey Word had a game-high 23 points in the win.
Kaleb Smith contributed 14 points and both Bradley Xie and Jimmy Oladokun finished with nine points apiece.
Noah Moeaki and Evan Young led the Cavemen with 13 points each.
Up next: Damien will open Baseline League play on Tuesday.
The Spartans host the defending champs from Etiwanda.
