Boys Basketball:
Marshall Fundamental opened Mission Valley League play on Monday, and the Eagles finished strong.
Trailing by four points at the half, Marshall Fundamental went on a 37-25 run and defeated Arroyo, 68-60.
The Eagles were an impressive 9-of-17 behind the three-point line.
Vazion Boone led the way with 23 points.
Boone converted 1 of 14 from the free-throw line.
Bagdo Yetenekyan hit four three-pointers and finished with 14 points.
Armen Darakchyan contributed 17 points in the win.
Alonzo Acosta chipped in with eight points.
Up next: Marshall will host Gabrielino (4-7) on Wednesday night.
