GHS Claims Third Place at Covina Tournament by Defeating Colts, 38-31, on Saturday

Girls Basketball:

After a 69-59 loss to the eventual champs from Summit in Friday’s semifinal round of the Covina High School Basketball Tournament, Glendora and Covina faced off Saturday night in the third-place game.

GHS defeated the Colts, 38-31, to claim third place.

Kennedy Herrmann led the way with 15 points.

Rylie Anderson added 12 points in the win.

Miranda Morales led Covina with a game-high 16 points.

Hailey Schaffer chipped in eight points in the GHS win.

Anderson and Schaffer were named to the all-tournament team.

Up next: Covina will host Azusa on Wednesday at 4:45, and GHS will welcome Cal High into their gym on Friday at 6:15.
