Boys Basketball:
Make it 10 in a row for Damien.
The Spartans remained perfect to start the 2021-22 season, thanks to a 76-46 victory over Long Beach Poly in the St. John Bosco Tournament.
Jimmy Oladokun tied for a game-high 17 points with Poly’s Jovani Ruff.
Damien was about as balanced as it gets on Wednesday.
Spivey Word, RJ Smith and Kaleb Smith chipped in 15 points apiece for the Spartans.
Marcel Hayes had 10 points for the Jackrabbits.
Up next: The Spartans will face off with Fairmont Prep on Friday at 8:30.
