Boys Basketball:
Damien has a history of putting games away early.
And Monday was no different.
The Spartans had a 17-point lead after the first quarter, and took a 28-point advantage into the halftime break.
Thanks to its 65-33 beatdown of Gahr in the first round of the St. John Bosco Tournament, the Spartans improved to 9-0.
Kaleb Smith had a game-high 16 points for Damien.
Jimmy Oladokun chipped in with 15 points and RJ Smith finished with 13 points in the win.
Up next: Damien is set to face off with Long Beach Poly on Wednesday night.
