Girls Basketball:
La Salle’s 6-1 start to the 2021-22 season is impressive enough.
But the fact that this young team gets a different leading scorer almost every game shows just how versatile this program can be.
On Saturday, La Salle used a 15-point advantage in the second half to pull away from Birmingham, and the Lancers would earn a 45-30 victory over the Patriots.
Sophomore guard Audrey Chen scored a game-high 16 points, and 11 of those 16 came during the 30-15 second-half surge.
Reese Wong and Kaden Cortes, a junior and freshman, respectively, chipped in with 10 points apiece in the win.
Janna Holley and Sriaya Peters finished with nine points each in the loss.
Up next: La Salle and Duarte (2-1) will battle on Monday at 7.
