Boys Basketball:
If there’s an early trend to the Pasadena High School boys basketball team to start the 2021-22 season, it would be their games will be competitive, dramatic and interesting.
After last Monday’s 48-46, double-overtime Pacific League victory at Burbank, PHS was back on the court Monday night in the Rose City RoundBall Classic.
This time around, South Pasadena used a 21-14 fourth-quarter advantage to force overtime.
And the Tigers claimed a 56-55 over the Bulldogs.
Ryan Poole scored a team-high 13 points, and had two assists and two steals.
Casey Barrett added 11 points and two boards.
Jason Guyton contributed 10 points, six rebounds and a pair of assists.
Ethan Patterson finished with six points.
Drew Brown chipped in with three points, and a team-high seven rebounds.
Up next: PHS will face off with Santa Clarita Christian today (Wednesday) at 3.
