Boys Basketball:
After a week off from competition, Damien met up with Village Christian on Saturday.
And the Spartans used a 25-10 run in the second quarter in a 66-50 over the Crusaders.
RJ Smith led all scorers with 23 points.
Jimmy Oladokun pitched in with 19 points and Spivey Word finished with 14 points in the win.
Village Christian’s Noah Williams led the Crusaders with 19 points.
Thomas Luczak had 10 points and Immanuel Taylor contributed nine points in the loss.
Up next: Damien travels to St. Paul on Wednesday.
