Boys Basketball:
Upland got 20 points from Jason Gewaid in Monday’s five-point victory over La Salle.
Gewaid poured in 14 of those 20 in the second half, as the Highlanders outscored the Lancers, 33-27, over that stretch.
Aiden Chavez contributed 19 points in the win.
Derek Peterson led La Salle with 19 points and Myles Blackman chipped in with 10 points.
Up next: Upland will battle Walnut tonight (Tuesday) at 7:30.
La Salle will also face off with Walnut, but not until Wednesday.
