Far too often, and based on the emotion it evokes, we tend to elevate the level of importance that sports has on our society.
There are so many real-life scenarios that make any athletic event pale in comparison.
And here’s one of those moments.
On November 18th, 2021, South Hills High’s (girls) & La Salle’s (boys) volleyball coach, Tiare Tuitama, gave birth to her first child.
Tuitama, 37, delivered a healthy baby boy named Koa Michael Tuitama Parisi on Thursday, while her husband, and South Hills assistant baseball coach, Mike Parisi, was by her side.
Mom and son are doing quite well.
“Tiare is the strongest and most talented person that I’ve ever met,” Parisi said. “God has blessed me in so many ways. I am a proud husband and father. Tiare is not only an amazing coach, but she will also be an amazing mother.”
The SGV sends out our most heartfelt congratulations to Coach Tui and Mike on their beautiful baby.
