Claremont senior Sydney La has waited patiently for her time to shine as the CHS No. 1 singles player.
For the last few years, Sydney played No. 2 singles behind her older sister, Goldie La.
In 2021, Syndey has helped lead the Wolfpack to a 4-0 mark in Palomares League matches, including team victories over Ayala and Alta Loma last week.
On Tuesday, La won each of her three sets without dropping a game, and CHS defeated Ayala, 15-3.
Two days later, and the Wolfpack edged Alta Loma, by a score of 11-7.
Sydney went 3-0 by scores of 6-1, 6-0 and 6-0.
Up next: The Wolfpack travel to Glendora tomorrow (Tuesday) for a 3:15 showdown with the Tartans.
