Football:
Ayala put Los Osos away early on Friday night.
The Bulldogs took a 28-0 lead into the half and cruised to a 40-21 victory over the visiting Grizzlies.
Ayala rushed for a game-high 184 yards, and Los Osos finished just three yards back with 181 yards on the ground.
The big difference, though, is that it took the Bulldogs just 23 carries to get to that total, while the Grizzlies ran the ball 39 times.
Jacob Munoz led Ayala with 93 yards on nine carries and a TD.
Bryan Wilson, who is now 9-0 as the AHS starting quarterback, completed 9 of 13 pass attempts for 102 yards and three TD’s.
Lytallion Payne had four catches for 76 yards and two TD’s.
Chandler Carthan caught a 28-yard TD pass and Drew Merrill had an eight-yard scoring reception in the win.
CJ Sento, who usually does the damage with his legs, threw a double pass to Payne for a 39-yard TD.
Dominic Alloway brought a kickoff back 93 yards for a TD.
Up next: Ayala will travel to Tustin on Thursday and Los Osos will host Bonita on Friday.
Box Score:
