Football:
Glendora got off to a slow start offensively after making the 56-mile drive to Santa Clarita on Friday.
The Tartans trailed West Ranch, 7-3, at the half in their 2021 fall season opener.
But GHS got 12 points in the third quarter and seven more in the fourth to claim a 22-14 victory.
Braydon Brus opened his senior season with 179 yards on 22 carries, and that included three TD’s.
Zach Ford carried the ball 12 times for 32 yards.
Jake Denerson completed 8 of his 17 pass attempts for 115 yards.
JoJo Najarro had four catches for 86 yards.
And Langston Taylor’s interception with 40 seconds to play sealed the victory for the Tartans.
Up next: GHS will travel to Covina District Field next Friday to battle Covina.
