Girls Basketball:
San Dimas earned a spot in Wednesday’s CIF-SS Division 3A quarterfinals by edging Cal High, 49-48, on Saturday evening.
Janessa Rodriguez stepped up big time, tallying game highs in scoring (14 points) and rebounds (10).
Jaclyn Ramos chipped in with nine points in the win.
Allison McGill contributed eight points, including a pair of 3-point baskets.
Maris Alvarez and Ariana Martinez led Cal High with 13 points apiece.
All of Desirae Martinez’s 12 points came behind the 3-point arc for the Condors.
Cal’s Valerie Romero finished with eight points and 10 rebounds.
Olivia Romero had seven points, four assists and six steals in the win.
Jazlyn Rodriguez chipped in with seven points for SDHS.
Up next: San Dimas will travel to Claremont on Wednesday in a quarterfinal showdown with the Wolfpack.
CHS defeated top-ranked Highland, 34-33, in their second-round game.
