Alisha Wilson Scores 26 Points in Bonita’s 58-31 Victory Over St. Mary’s Academy in 2nd Round of CIF D-2AA Playoffs

Girls Basketball:

Bonita jumped out early in Saturday’s CIF-SS Division 2AA second-round game.

The Bearcats had a 20-point lead at the half and cruised to a 58-31 victory over St. Mary’s Academy.

Alisha Wilson was the model of consistency.

Wilson finished with 26 points, including six apiece in the first, second and fourth quarters, and the Bearcats’ senior had eight third-quarter points.

Bryanna Graham hit a game-high four 3-pointers and finished with 16 points for the Palomares League champs.

Liz Elliot had 20 of St. Mary Academy’s 31 points.

But the Bearcars defense held her to six second-half points.

Ana Eckler contributed eight points, including a pair of 3-pointers.

Up next: Bonita will face the winner of the Viewpoint-Cajon winner from Saturday night.

The tip is set for Wednesday at 7.
