Boys Basketball:
Villa Park did something on Wednesday night that no one had done to Pasadena in more than 15 years.
The Spartans knocked the Bulldogs out of the playoffs in the first round.
VP defeated PHS, 74-52, in a CIF-SS Division 1 contest.
MaxPreps only goes back to 2004, so that’s the furthest we could trace the PHS playoff first-round win streak.
Damien (24 points) and Dominic Parker (15) combined for 39 points in Villa Park’s victory.
Zavior Smith led all scorers with 25 points and Nigel McKay added 19 points for the Bulldogs.
