Baseball:
Charter Oak finished out its regular season schedule on Wednesday with a 10-0 victory over Diamond Ranch in five innings.
Chris Ceballos got the win after going three scoreless innings, allowing one hit, no walks and striking out five Panthers’ batters.
Chris Sanchez closed it out with two scoreless innings of his own.
Sanchez didn’t walk anyone and struck out two.
Cameron Shinokawa was stuck with the loss.
Shinokawa allowed nine runs (six earned) on 11 hits.
Ceballos singled, doubled, scored twice and had an RBI.
Gabriel Rico went 3-for-4, with a double and game-high four RBIs.
Evan Avitia singled twice and scored.
Alejandro Blanquet had an RBI double and scored twice.
Anthony Vasquez walked, singled and scored a pair of runs.
Chris Sanchez went 2-for-2 and scored.
Jacob Chavez singled, scored and drove in a run.
Ethan Milleson had an RBI and run scored.
Charter Oak holds a half-game lead over Northview for second place.
If the Vikings defeat Covina on Friday, they’ll settle for a two-way tie.
COHS and NHS split their two-game series.
