Softball:
Maddie Fraer had an historic afternoon on Tuesday.
The Pasadena High School junior hit two grand slams, scored three runs and finished with nine RBIs.
PHS earned a 19-1, Pacific League victory at Glendale in six innings.
It is also the first time the Bulldogs softball program has won five league games in over a decade.
Naomi Martinez went the distance in the circle, allowing one run on five hits.
Martinez didn’t walk anyone and struck out four to earn the win.
Hannah McWade (three hits), Nyla Murray (two hits), Isabella Armas (two hits), Iria Taylor (two hits), and Martinez (one hit) also did their part in Tuesday’s victory.
Up next: Pasadena closes out its 2021 season today (Wednesday), and will host Muir at 3:30.
