Softball:
Jordan Hill kept San Dimas in the Valle Vista League title hunt on Wednesday.
Hill went the distance, allowing three runs on seven hits, and the Saints defeated Covina, 8-3, to remain tied with Diamond Ranch atop the VVL standings.
She didn’t walk anyone and struck out eight Colts’ batters.
Kennedy Griego doubled twice and scored, and Marissa Ramirez had a pair of doubles and drove in a run.
Samantha Centeno homered and drove in two runs.
Lily Castorena singled and scored for Covina.
Gabriella Martinez got the loss, allowing eight runs (one earned) on 11 hits over six innings of work.
She walked three.
Alexis Garcia singled, doubled and had an RBI.
Gracie Strycula had a pair of singles and scored a run.
Meah Almarez had an RBI double.
Ella Falcetti singled, doubled and scored.
Jackie Bowers went 2-for-3, and scored a pair of runs.
Vivianna Ponce doubled, scored and had three RBIs.
Giselle Lopez and Jordan Hill walked once and scored one run apiece.
