Charter Oak and Northview entered the week in a two-way tie for second place in the Valle Vista League.
In the first of two games this week, Charter Oak escaped Northview with an 8-7 road victory.
The Chargers actually held a 5-0 lead only to see the Vikings score seven combined runs in the third and fourth innings.

Micah Hidalgo walked, singled and scored two runs.
Andrew Baltazar walked, singled twice, scored and had an RBI.
Dean Curley singled and scored, and Eligh Hidalgo singled, scored and drove in one run.
Tyson Patrick was stuck with the loss after allowing three runs on three hits over his three innings of work.
He walked three and fanned three Chargers’ batters.
Alejandro Blanquet had a monster game with two doubles and six RBIs.
Ortiz also did his part at the plate, going 3-for-4, and scoring two runs.
Aaron Osorio walked three times and scored twice.
