Boys Soccer:
Ayala seems to be peaking at the perfect time.
The Bulldogs won the Palomares League championship, and this past Thursday, they opened the CIF-SS Division 4 playoffs with a 5-1 beatdown over Bishop Amat.
Ayala headed to No. 3 seeded Montclair on Saturday afternoon.
And they got a first-half goal from Brandon Soto and a second-half score from Joshua Dinh to come home a 2-1 winner.
Ayala will travel to Nogales(10-1-1) on Wednesday in a quarterfinal contest.
The Nobles defeated Santa Paula (2-0) in the first round, and then the Montview League champions escaped Saturday’s showdown with Fontana, thanks to a 4-3 advantage in a shootout.
