Northview set the tone early and cruised to a 12-2 victory over West Covina in a five-inning contest.
The Vikings got six runs in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back.
Evan Buhac was stuck with the loss, allowing 10 runs (three earned) on eight hits over his four-innings of work.
He walked one and struck out a pair of NHS batters.
Andrew Baltazar singled, doubled, scored twice and had an RBI.
Ivan Barragan doubled, scored and drove in three runs.
Nick Peoples singled, had an RBI and scored twice.
Eligh Hidalgo singled and scored two runs.
Sal Batres got the win after two innings of work.
Batres allowed one run on one hit.
He walked three and struck out three WCHS batters.
Brandon Holmes singled, doubled and scored once for West Covina.
Edwin Segovia had an RBI base hit and Jacob Nguyen walked and scored.
