Baseball:
Julian Eskridge has really made his presence felt since becoming eligible from the 30-day wait period for transfers.
Last week, Eskridge went five scoreless innings and struck out three in a 13-2 victory over Pasadena.
Eskridge also homered, scored three runs and drove in a pair.
Fast forward one week, and Eskridge went five scoreless innings in the Apaches’ 10-0 victory over Burbank.
Eskridge allowed one hit, walked one and struck out six.
Daniel Neria got the loss.
Neria surrendered eight runs on eight hits and two walks over his three innings of work.
And again, Eskridge did his part at the plate.
He doubled twice, scored a pair of runs and had two RBIs to wrap up the two-game sweep of the Bulldogs.
His brother, Devon Eskridge, went 2-for-3, with an RBI and run scored.
Brandon Nguyen walked, doubled, scored and drove in one run.
Mikey Easter walked, singled twice, had an RBI and two runs, and Alex Dolan singled and scored.
Zach Huerta singled and drove in two runs, and Ari Nurhadi had a two-run double and scored a run.
Matthew McIntire singled, scored and had an RBI.
Up next: Arcadia will travel to El Camino Real this morning (Saturday).
