Glendora Bats Come Alive in 11-4 Victory at Bonita; Ayala & GHS Tied for First in Palomares w/3 Games to Play

Editors Note: Bonita does not post their stats on game changer or MaxPreps, and we haven’t been able to secure any info during the 2021 spring sports season from the program.

Softball:

Glendora jumped on Bonita for four first-inning runs and cruised to an 11-4 Palomares League victory at Bonita.

GHS pitchers Ashley Hibbard (two innings) and Bridget Nemeth (five innings) allowed two runs apiece.

Nemeth scattered three hits, walked one and struck out three, and Hibbard allowed one hit, walked one and fanned a pair of Bonita batters.

Haley Ganino homered and drove in two runs.

Ashley Waite singled, homered, scored three runs and drove in two.

Allison Winovitch singled, homered, had three RBIs and scored two runs.

Ashley Hibbard doubled and scored a pair of runs.

Alicia Garcia had an RBI base hit and Morgan Coleman singled, scored and drove in one run.

Mackenna Coleman singled and scored twice and Hannah Beyer went 2-for-4.

Bridget Nemeth had an RBI in the win.

With three games to play, Glendora (10-2) and Ayala (10-2) stand atop the Palomares League standings.

The Tartans and Bulldogs will meet Wednesday at GHS.
