Boys Basketball:

Glendora and Bonita met up Wednesday night in what looks to be a battle for second place in the Palomares League.

With just over two weeks to go in the regular season, the Bearcats and Tartans entered the game with identical 4-2 league records.

GHS defeated Bonita back on April 23, and the Bearcats were looking to pay back the favor.

Glendora, though, used a 12-point surge in the second and third quarters (combined) and then withstood a five-point Bearcats advantage in the fourth in a 61-56 victory.

Noah Smith led the way with 20 points, five rebounds and five assists.

Austin Clark played a big role with 13 points, six rebounds and two assists.

Smith and Clark combined to go 11-of-13 from the free-throw line.

Matt Smith led Bonita with 12 points.

Michael Horne and Jacob Barnes contributed 10 points apiece for the Bearcats.

Luke Jacobson added 11 points, six rebounds and two assists and Braydon Wooldridge chipped in with 10 points and two rebounds.
