Baseball:

It kind of looked like a mismatch early on when San Dimas hosted Charter Oak on Wednesday.

The Saints and Chargers entered the first of two games together with identical 4-0 records in VVL games.

And San Dimas got out to a six-run lead after the first three innings.

Charter Oak, though, got six runs in the top of the fourth and one in the sixth to pull even at 7-7.

SDHS, however, earned a walk-off, 8-7 victory in eight innings.

Kasen Khansarinia got the win, going a scoreless eighth inning for the Saints.

Matt Romero went the first 3 1/3 innings, allowing six runs on five hits.

Chris Ceballos singled, homered and drove in three runs for COHS.

Anthony Vasquez singled, doubled, drove in two runs and scored once.

Alejandro Blanquet walked twice, singled two times and scored.

Diego Ortiz and Ethan Milleson both walked, singled and scored.

Gabriel Rico went 2-for-4, and Chris Sanchez walked and scored.

Zack Bauer went the first six innings for the Chargers.

Bauer surrendered seven runs on eight hits, walked three and struck out five.

Evan Avitia was stuck with the loss after allowing the eighth inning run.

Robert Castillo had two doubles, three RBIs and he scored once.

Ryder Young singled and drove in two runs.

Landon White singled twice, homered and had two RBIs.

Rocco Regan walked twice, doubled, scored twice and drove in a pair of runs.
