Softball:
Etiwanda’s Miranda Roldan kept Rancho Cucamonga bats silent for almost all of Thursday’s 5-1 victory.
She went the distance to get the win.
Roldan allowed just one run on two hits.
She walked one and struck out 10 RCHS batters.
Kyleigh Peters singled and scored and Ashley Guyon had an RBI double to account for the Cougars offense on Thursday.
Macy Brandl was struck with the loss, going seven innings and allowing five runs (three earned) on nine hits.
She walked one and fanned three Etiwanda batters.
Odyssey Torres singled twice and scored and Talissa Montez singled and scored once.
Karissa Munsey went 2-for-4, with two runs scored and an RBI.
Jailey Wilson walked, singled twice, drove in two runs and scored.
Casey Fazzini had an RBI base hit and Summer Ramos drove in a run with a sac fly.
Up next: Etiwanda will travel to Upland and Rancho Cucamonga will visit Glendora to take on St. Lucy’s.
Both games are set for Tuesday at 3:15.
