Azusa continued its dominance over Montview League opponents on Thursday.
The Aztecs hammered visiting Duarte, 21-0, in five innings.
In Azusa’s first four league games, they’ve outscored opponents by a combined margin of 50-4.
Iliana Cardenas got the win after going 2 1/3 innings and allowing one hit, while striking out three Duarte batters.
Juliana Canizales contributed 2 2/3 scoreless and hitless innings of relief.
Canizales walked one and struck out four.
Melina Renskers got the loss for Duarte, allowing 21 runs (15 earned) on 12 hits and eight walks.
Angelian Correos had a monster game for Azusa, going 3-for-4, including a triple and home run.
She scored three runs and had four RBIs.
Cardenas doubled, homered, drove in three runs and scored twice.
Breanna Rodriguez walked, hit a two-run home run and scored twice.
Raelene Rodriguez walked, singled twice, scored two runs and had two RBIs.
Claudia Munoz had a two-run double and scored.
Gwendalyn Rivas walked three times and scored twice.
Alona Sanchez scored twice and had an RBI.
Alyssa Ceballos walked, tripled, scored twice and had an RBI.
