After starting Mission League play 0-7, Loyola has won their last three games.
And that includes Tuesday’s series-opening 2-1 victory over Crespi.
Nick Valdez clutched up with a two-run, pinch-hit home run in the bottom of the sixth inning.
David Case went the first five innings and allowed one run on four hits.
Case walked three and struck out six Crespi batters.
Andy Perez was credited with the win after two scoreless innings.
Perez allowed one hit, didn’t walk a batter and struck out three.
Jacob O’Dell singled and doubled for the Celts and Chris Arce singled and scored.
Daniel Tovar was stuck with the loss.
Tovar went all six innings for Crespi, and allowed the two runs on four hits.
He walked one and struck out six Loyola batters.
Daniel Marquez doubled and Nico Morales and Ethan Haggarty singled for the Cubs.
Up next: Loyola will travel to Crespi on Wednesday for a 3:30 first pitch.
