Iliana Cardenas did everything she could to make sure Azusa stayed unbeaten in Montview League action.
Cardenas went the distance in Tuesday’s 6-2 victory.
Neither of the two runs were earned.
Cardenas allowed 10 hits, walked one and struck out four.
Natalie Garcia was stuck with the loss for Sierra Vista.
She went all six innings, allowing six runs on nine hits.
Garcia walked two and struck out three Azusa batters.
At the plate, Cardenas had an RBI double to help her own cause.
Natalie Sosa had a two-run base hit in the win.
Julianna Canizales went 2-for-4, with a run and two RBIs.
Raelene Rodriguez singled three times, scored twice and drove in one run.
Breanna Rodriguez walked, singled and scored.
Gwendalyn Rivas singled and scored for the Aztecs.
Up next: Azusa will host Duarte on Thursday.
