Azusa opened Montview League play in dominating form.
The Aztecs crushed their hosts from Gladstone, 17-0, in five innings.
The Aztecs out-hit the Gladiators, 13-3.
Judith Duenas has likely seen better days.
Duenas surrendered 13 runs on nine hits and four walks in 2 1/3 innings.
Raelene Rodriguez singled, homered, scored three runs and drove in five.
Gwendalyn Rivas walked, singled, tripled and scored twice.
Angelian Correos walked, singled, drove in a run and scored three times.
Juliana Canizales singled, doubled, scored and drove in three runs.
Natalie Sosa went 2-for-4, with an RBI and both Alona Sanchez and Brenna Rodriguez singled, scored and drove in a run.
Mia Pedroza scored twice.
Iliana Cardenas walked and had a three-run triple.
And in the circle, Cardenas went two scoreless innings to get the win.
She allowed one hit, walked one and struck out two Gladstone batters.
Juliana Canizales went the final three scoreless innings, allowing two hits and striking out a pair.
Cassandra Flores, Valerie Santana and Jaqueline Marquez each singled to account for the Gladstone offense.
