Glendora Holds Off Late Alta Loma Surge in Wednesday’s 7-6 Victory

Softball:

Glendora got four runs in the first inning and narrowly held on, 7-6, at winless Alta Loma.

Samantha Meyndert went six innings for the Braves and allowed three runs (two earned) on three hits.

She didn’t walk a batter and struck out five.

GHS got four more off of Emily Boen on four hits and two walks.

Mackenna Coleman singled, doubled, homered, scored twice and drove in three runs.

Bridget Nemeth walked, singled, homered, scored a pair of runs and had two RBIs.

Haley Ganino walked, doubled and scored two runs.

Ashley Waite went 2-for-4, with a run scored and RBI.

Sarah Arnold had an RBI base hit for the Tartans.

Haley Ganino allowed six runs on 10 hits over her 6 2/3 innings of work.

She didn’t walk a batter and struck out four.

Bridget Nemeth closed the door for the save.

Brooklyn Stone singled, homered, scored and had two RBIs.

Valeria Rivera hit a solo shot and scored two runs.
