Etiwanda Edges Damien, 64-60, in Tuesday’s Baseline League Opener; Malik Thomas Leads All Scorers With 26 Points

Boys Basketball:

Etiwanda did something Tuesday night that 15 other programs couldn’t.

They defeated Damien in a basketball game this year.

The Eagles had a 22-15 edge in the fourth quarter and earned a 64-60 road victory in the Baseline League opener.

Marcus Green had 17 points and Darvelle Wyatt scored 15 for the Eagles.

Malik Thomas led all scorers with 26, and the Damien senior hit four 3-point baskets.

RJ Smith had 12 for the Spartans.

Up next: Damien will travel to Upland and the Etiwanda will welcome Los Osos to their gym.

Both games are set for Friday with 6:30 tip times.
