With La Canada struggling at 1-4 this season, and having dropped the first game of a doubleheader, the Spartans needed a spark.
And La Canada second baseman Kendall Knudsen became just that.
After a 12-11 loss to Granada Hills Charter, Knudsen went 3-for-4 in game 2, which included a pair of singles and a three-run home run.
Knudsen also scored three runs and the Spartans claimed a 9-3 victory.
When the season and school year is over, Knudsen will head to the University of Colorado Boulder and will major in Communication.
