Boys Basketball:
Damien made it a ‘lucky 13’ on Wednesday night.
The Spartans got 24 points, including four 3-point baskets from RJ Smith in a 76-63 victory over Sonora.
Malik Thomas finished with 23 points.
Sam Esparza led all scorers with 26 points for Sonora and Ian Jones had 17.
Jimmy Oladokun chipped in with 19 points for Damien and Spivey Word had five.
Garrett Icenhower finished with seven points for the Raiders and Alfredo Montealegre had six points.
Up next: Damien will host Hesperia on Friday at 4.
