Daniel Ruiz was a one-man headache for Valley Christian.

The Maranatha pitcher went the distance, allowing just one run on three hits.

He walked one and struck out eight in the 5-1, Olympic League victory on Tuesday.

At the plate, Ruiz had an RBI double and he scored a run.

Nolan Lynott also went the distance and got the loss for Valley Christian.

He allowed five runs on seven hits.

Lynott walked two and struck out a pair of MHS batters.

Ben Staub walked, singled, scored twice and drove in a pair of runs.

Nick Cook had an RBI double.

Will Allen walked and scored.

Garrett McGuigan went 2-for-2 and scored.

Cam Andrews and Ryan Mittelman both singled in the win.

Adrian Lopez had an RBI for the Minutemen.
