In their second and final football game of the 2021 spring season, Rio Hondo Prep made the most of it.
The Kares crushed visiting Viewpoint, 48-8, on Friday night, and finished 2-0.
RHP outscored Trinity Classical Academy and Viewpoint by a combined score of 92-8.
The star of Friday’s finale was junior defensive back/wide receiver, Gio Ortega.
He personally scored four of the Kares’ seven touchdowns.
Ortega caught TD passes of 5, 15 and 5 yards from quarterback Jack Van Cleve.
And the icing on his cake was a 40-yard punt return at 5:08 in the first quarter to extend the lead to 14-0.
