Etiwanda has a knack for wearing an opposing pitching staff down and striking late.
The Eagles did it again on Saturday.
Trailing 3-2 in the bottom of the sixth inning, Etiwanda jumped on Nathan Valdivia for five runs, and went on to claim a 7-3 victory.
Valdivia went all six for the Titans, allowing seven runs (five earned) on 10 hits.
He didn’t walk anyone and struck out three.
Abraham Zapata’s bat continues to stay red hot.
Zapata doubled, tripled, scored once and had an RBI.
Luke Mariscal had a two-RBI triple and scored once.
Geo Mejia singled, doubled and scored twice.
Jack Holman singled and doubled.
Alfredo Capacete singled, scored and drove in a run.
Yahir Ramirez had an RBI single and Ryan Scoles scored a pair of runs in the win.
Samuel Griffin went the first inning for Etiwanda, allowing just an unearned run.
Landon Milius, pictured below, would go four scoreless in relief, and gave up four harmless hits.
Luke Mariscal got the win after an inning of work and allowing a pair of unearned runs.
He didn’t walk anyone and struck out two.
Alfredo Capacete closed the door with a perfect seventh inning, including a strikeout.
Mac Willis walked, singled, doubled and scored for Colony.
Dominic Gonzalez doubled and scored in the loss.
