Chris Ceballos (five innings) and Isaiah Alvarez (two innings) mowed down the Alta Loma lineup in Charter Oak’s 13-0 victory on Saturday morning.
And he couldn’t have been much more efficient.
He didn’t walk a batter and struck out five Braves.
Ceballos threw just 50 pitches, with 41 being strikes.
Isaiah Alvarez closed the door on the Braves with two scoreless innings of relief, allowing one hit, walking one and striking out two batters.
Dominic Paris had the lone hit against Ceballos and Jason Gutierrez singled off of Alvarez.
Ronan Nuqui got the loss for Alta Loma, including seven runs in the top of the first inning.
He allowed nine runs (six earned) on eight hits and walked three over his three innings of work.
Evan Avitia singled, scored twice and drove in a run from the leadoff spot.
Chris Ceballos walked and scored.
Gabriel Rico went 4-for-5, including three singles, a triple, a run scored and three RBIs.
Anthony Vasquez walked, singled twice, scored and drove in a pair of runs.
Matt Salgado went 2-for-3, with a run and RBI.
Ethan Milleson walked two times, singled twice, scored four runs and had two RBIs.
Dave Montoya contributed a single, two RBIs and a run.
Chris Sanchez scored and drove in one run, and Zach Bauer scored once in the win.
