Former Northview Ace Ryan Humphreys Improves to 2-0; Westmont Lefty Goes Distance in 10-1 Victory Over San Diego Christian

Ryan Humphreys, the 2019 Northview High School ace, is off to a great start to his sophomore season.

The Westmont College lefty closed out a four-game sweep of San Diego Christian over the weekend.

Humphreys allowed just one run over the seven-inning, 10-1 victory.

He surrendered just one hit, walked five and fanned eight.

In three outings this season, Humphreys is 2-0, with a 1.56 ERA in 17 1/3 innings of work.

Humphreys’ 24 strikeouts leads the Westmont staff.

And in his two wins (over Simpson & San Diego Christian), Humphreys has surrendered just one run in 12 combined innings, and has tallied 18 strikeouts.

Westmont is now 9-3 overall and 4-0 in GSAC play.

Humphreys will head back home this weekend, as the Warriors visit APU on both Friday and Saturday.
