San Dimas wrapped up another Valle Vista League championship on Tuesday.
This time, however, they weren’t going to share it like they did in 2018 with Northview.
The Saints rode the arms of Dylan O’Leary and Zach Jacobs to a 5-2 victory over the visiting Vikings to claim the title.
Ryan Humphreys got the loss for Northview, but he allowed just a single earned run.
Over his five innings, Humphreys surrendered five runs, but as mentioned, only one was earned.
San Dimas collected five hits off the Northview starter.
He walked two and fanned three.
Andrew Duran pitched a scoreless seventh inning for the Vikings and he struck out two.
Ryan Kim went 2 for 3 with an RBI.
Art Ruiz walked, singled, had an RBI and scored once.
Isaiah Marquez walked and scored and Angel Sanchez doubled and scored once.
Dylan O’Leary had an RBI base hit.
Nathan Hellein and Ethan Karaan scored once and Liam Rocha singled once.
Dylan O’Leary got the win.
O’Leary went five innings as well, allowing one run on six hits.
He walked one and struck out three.
Zach Jacobs went the final two innings on the mound for the Saints.
Jacobs surrendered one run on two hits and struck out three.
Andrew Duran homered and scored twice for Northview.
Kobe Sanchez went 2 for 4.
Josh Logan drove in one of the two Northview runs on a sac fly.
James Jimenez went 2 for 3.
Andrew Baltazar, Matt Diaz and Nick Peoples all had one hit apiece.
Up next: Northview will host San Dimas on Thursday at 3:15.
The Vikings will get the second seed out of the Valle Vista League.
