The GHS softball program closed out its 2021 season opener in style.
Glendora scored eight combined runs in the sixth and seventh innings, and defeated Charter Oak, 11-5, on Friday.
Haley Ganino went 3-for-5, including a home run and four RBIs.
Marisa Duarte and Bridget Nemeth went two scoreless innings apiece in the circle for the Tartans.
Duarte was credited with the win.
Nemeth also singled twice and drove in a run.
Ryan Speh singled and doubled.
Ashley Waite doubled and drove in two runs, and Allison Waite had a pair of singles and RBIs.
Mackenna Coleman had a single and two RBIs.
Nine different GHS batters had at least one hit and five had two or more.
